August 3, 2015 — Scott Powerline and Utility Equipment has enjoyed many firsts with the Mantis Crane product line – one of the first dealers, one of the first to place these cranes in a rental fleet, and one of the first to introduce several new models over the years. We’ve continued that tradition with Tadano Mantis’ new GTC-1200 (130-ton US) model. This crane features a 155′ full power telescopic boom as well as a 2 piece bi-fold lattice jib & extension giving a maximum rated tip height of over 220′. Furthermore, it allows customers important pick & carry capability through 360 degrees. The crane has superior gradability and its design incorporates many new safety and ease of operation features. It is self-erecting and uses the proven Tadano AML-C LMI system.
Notes Frank Ingram, Vice President of Operations for North Houston’s Transmission Division, “As always it is a pleasure teaming with Scott Powerline. Once again they have been able to take care of NHPL when needed. With our work load of major transmission projects in the south central region, we found ourselves in need of another large live boom hydraulic crane. Conventional cranes are very restrictive in our line of work due to multiple energized crossings. Scott Powerline / Tadano Mantis to the rescue!
Scott Powerline’s GTC-1200 is a very good fit due to its lifting capacities at max height as well as its pick and carry capabilities. I was very pleased with the GTC-1200 when setting a 195 foot four piece steel pole. The support from Scott Powerline and the performance of the crane are spot on.”
